Who is it for?

  • For anyone currently taking or having taken Shintaido classes who wishes to deepen their practice.
  • If you are a beginner in Shintaido, please speak to your instructor (if you have one) or contact us by email (shintaido.forest@gmail.com) to discuss your participation.
  • Members of national Shintaido organisations (in countries other than Belgium and the United Kingdom) are welcome.
  • If you have never practiced Shintaido, we invite you to take a trial class in Belgium or the United Kingdom (or another country).
  • A trial class is scheduled as a pre-workshop on the afternoon of September 2nd, 2026; a few places will be reserved for these last-minute registrations.

Pre-workshop: Wednesday, September 2nd
A morning of information and practice: reserved for health and environmental education professionals on the theme of nature, meditation, and movement.

Afternoon: an introductory Shintaido session open to all (students from other classes are welcome).
Evening: a meditation session for those registered for the workshop (students from other classes are welcome).

Workshop: Thursday, September 3rd and Friday, September 4th
Thursday: opening of the workshop, one practice session in the morning, one practice session in the afternoon.
Friday: an early morning meditation, one practice session in the morning, closing of the workshop.

Workshop Prices:

  • Workshop price (Thursday and Friday): €150
  • Reduced price for members of Shintaido Forest and British Shintaido: €135
  • Early bird (deadline 03/07/26): €120
  • Last-minute registration (between 21/08/26 and 02/09/26): €180

Pre-workshop Prices

  • Morning: €25
  • Afternoon: Free for the trial class, €15 for students registered with Shintaido Forest asbl
  • Evening meditation: Free for workshop participants; €7 for students registered with Shintaido Forest asbl

Registration

To register for the workshop, please fill out the form below (you will receive a copy) and then pay the €50 deposit to confirm your registration; the full amount must be paid by August 20, 2026.

Registration closes on August 15, 2026.

Last-minute registrations will be accepted between August 21 and September 2, 2026.

Accommodation, Meals, and Transportation

Accommodation not arranged: information will be provided for those who need to stay overnight.

Meals during the workshop: not included in the price, organized as a group (catering can be ordered).

Transportation: connections will be made for carpooling and shuttles during the workshop.

    Bursaries

    A limited number of travel bursaries may be available to help BS members travelling from the UK. Would you like to be considered?

    To apply for a bursary you will need to send a short proposal to the BS Management Team detailing your Shintaido experience and reasons for requiring a bursary.
