
This is a list of British Shintaido run events, as well as some events run by local groups. All these events are open to anybody to attend, and are suitable for those seeking an introduction to Shintaido.
- BS Autumn exam event (open to all), Sat 12th & Sun 13th November 2011, Brighton
A two day event with an extended workshop and an opportunity to study and take exams in all Shintaido subjects up to 1st kyu / Assistant level. Organised by the Brighton group.
- BS Kangeiko, Sat 7th & Sun 8th January 2012, Douai Abbey, with Masashi Minagawa.
The annual friendly BS new year event. Spaces are limited to 17 so please register your interest early. Contact Kim Chan

- BS Daienshu 2013, Fri 24th to Mon 27th May 2013, Douai Abbey, near Reading
The main annual residential event of British Shintaido. Contact Charles Burns.

Please note no 2012 daienshu has yet been booked due to the international event tkaing place in 2012, which we hope as many of our members as possible will try to get to.
These events are open to those invited to be a College member. These are generally BS members who have qualified by taking an Assistant or Instructor Shintaido exam or the equivalent in bojutsu or karate (1st kyu or above), although invitations may on occasion be extended to others, eg: overseas visitors.

A list of major Shintaido events taking place around the world which might be worth travelling to for those seeking to broaden their experience of international Shintaido. This list is unlikely to be complete, so if you know of a major event not listed here do please let us know!
- Shintaido International 2012 (open to all), Tues 3rd - Fri 6th July 2012, Sonoma Sate University, California, USA
Guest instructor will be Aoki sensei, founder of Shintaido. Master instructors Ito, Okada, Minagawa and Thompson sensei will also be present. The international event occurs once every four years and is not to be missed.[ visit website ]

British Shintaido aims to organise a varied selection of events each year, from fairly modest & affordable local events to the more expensive residential events which enable us to go deeper into our practice. The schedule is apt to change sometimes at short notice so it's worth revisiting this page to check for updates. Or you can contact us and ask to be put on the e-mail list.
