Daienshu 2026

Theme: Musubi

The word “musubi” (結び) has many meanings;  not only to “tie” something string-like,
but also “to connect,” “to unite,” “to create,” “to solidify,” and “to bind.”
It refers to connecting hearts and forging relationships.

To register for the event, please fill in the form and pay a deposit.

 

Event Fees:

Residential Gasshuku fee: £320

BS members’ discount: -£30

Early-bird discount: -£30

These discounts mean that a BS member registering before the early-bird deadline will pay just £260 to attend this event. This includes 2 nights, 6 meals and 5 keiko.

We ask  for a £80 deposit to secure your place with the balance payable before the final registration deadline.

    Exam Registration Form

    Exams may be available at this event up to Shodan / Graduate level. This will depend on there being sufficient demand for exams.

    I would be interested in taking an exam in the following subjects:

    Please state the level aimed at for each exam

    For each subject, please give your current level and the date of the last exam

    You will be notified whether exams are going ahead or not by early March.

    Bursaries

    A limited number of bursaries will be available. Would you like to be considered?

    To apply for a bursary you will need to send a short proposal to the management team detailing your shintaido experience and reasons for requiring a bursary. You could email using the following info@shintaido.co.uk.
