Kangeiko 2026 Details

The theme for the Kangeiko (and for the whole of 2026) will be “Musubi”. Details about this theme will follow shortly.

To register for the kangeiko please fill in the form below. Spaces are limited, so please don’t wait to register your place.

Event Fees

Residential Gasshuku fee: £255.00
BS members’ discount: -£30
Early-bird discount: -£30

These discounts mean a BS member registering before the early-bird deadline (as most do) will pay just £195.00 to attend this event.

Spaces are limited. We ask for a £60 deposit to secure your place with the balance payable before the final registration deadline. If the event is oversubscribed we will return your deposit.

Early-bird deadline: 31st October 2025

Registration closes 23rd December 2025 (subject to availability).

Residential fees include full board and accommodation. As this is a self-catering event you will be asked to help with food preparation and clearing away for some meals.

If you wish to attend only part of the event please register and add a note about this in any box. Charles will contact you to discuss.

    Bursaries

    A limited number of bursaries will be available. Would you like to be considered?

    To apply for a bursary you will need to send a short proposal to the management team detailing you shintaido experience and reasons for requiring a bursary.

    Deposit payment

    I will pay the £60 deposit by:

    NB1: BACS preferred unless you are based overseas

    NB2: Please quote the reference BS Kangeiko 26 (or similar) if possible

    NB3: Please post the cheque to British Shintaido, 234 Peppard Road, Reading, RG4 8UA
